Sneak peek at our second climate fiction book club pick

You may still be digesting our first book and reflecting on the arts of futuring but it is soon time for the second book in the LAX LAB 2.0 climate fiction book club.

Before revealing the next book, here are a few clues. See if you can recognise it!

Our second book is a slim novel narrated by an animal, offering a non-human or more-than-human perspective on social, urban, and environmental change.

Our second book is a portrayal of humanity told from outside ourselves, laying bare the absurdity of our societies with humour and pathos.

Our second book imagines a genderqueer future and is an example of queer futurism; an emerging genre which centres Queer identities and experiences, subverts heteronormative storytelling, and reimagines transformation.

Our second book poetically challenges dominant narratives, playing with species and gender identity, simultaneously exploring queerness, transness, and the climate crisis.

Are you excited for our next book? It will be announced very soon so you don’t have long to wait.
